Barry M Lip Paint's : Punky Pink & Pink Sparkle

I've recently gotten in to lipsticks, it's my new addiction, my face seems so colorless and lifeless without a bit of lippie now!

Within the past month of so, I've bought 2 shades from Barry M and I'm very impressed; for such an inexpensive price they work really well, and the color selection is so nice and vibrant! They last for a really long time and out stood my test of durability (a full day at uni, and a gazillion coffees)!

The shades I got are Punky Pink (145) and Pink Sparkle (140). I like them both a lot and can't wait to experiment with different shades from the Barry M range!

* Punky Pink (145) :

* Pink Sparkle (140) :

As you can see I've used Pink Sparkle the most! These lip sticks are available from Boots and Superdrug for €6.50 in Ireland and £4.25 in the UK, bargain much!?

So, if you're looking for an amazing lippie, with a reasonable price, Barry M lip paint's are the way to go.. Trust me!

The most adorable tweezer/scissor set ever

I got this as a mini gift from my grandma!

I don't know what the brand is (I'll try and find out), but she got it from a quirky shop in London called Octopus; from what I know there's one in Covent Garden and the Kings Road,. I have to say it's the most original faboush nail scissor/tweezer set I've ever seen!

The little lady will hopefully keep my eyebrows neat (you've seen what a mess they can get)! There's also a variety of different styles which are just as cute.

UPDATE : After a bit on internet surfing, this is by French brand 'Pylones'.

Rose shaped loofah from Forever21.. Cutest way to exfoliate

As mentioned in this blog, I love everything beauty related, so when I saw this loofah I had to have it. Isn't it the cutest thing ever!?

I got it on holiday from Forever21 (one of my favorite shops), which I'm excited to announce is opening in Dublin at Jervis Mall within the next month or so!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, back to the loofah.. I make sure to exfoliate at least 3 times a week to keep my skin soft and smooth, and with this gorgeous rose shaped loofah it will make the whole exfoliation process a whole lot more enjoyable.

For anyone out there Forever21-less, click here to check out the prettiest loofah ever (which is available in 3 different shades).

So if anyone out there wants skin as soft as a babies bum, make sure to exfoliate weekly; and if anyone wants to exfoliate weekly get this rose shaped loofah.. Trust me!

Okay so..

I'm back in Dublin! For any of you who actually give a shit (pardon my french!), I'm a university student in Dublin; I'm not Irish but I love it here nonetheless.

Whilst I'm here, some of my posts will probably be 'Dublin-related' but I'll still review products and experiment with beauty treatments.. Spotted a new salon open up next to my uni so I'm excited to try it out for a well needed mani!

Ta for now! I'll try and post something new by tomorrow.

Eyebrow threading

What is threading?

Basically, it's an old school way of removing hair which originated in India and it has recently become a very popular way of doing your eyebrows in Europe.

It got its name 'threading' because the hair is removed using a strand of cotton thread by wrapping the thread around the hair.

Why I love threading my eyebrows instead of plucking them:

* The hair is removed from the hair follicle which makes this a longer lasting way of removing the hairs.

* It's a quick process and takes about 5 - 10 minutes to do both eyebrows, and is relatively cheap.

* The threading technique creates a clean hairline and can be used to shape eyebrows perfectly.

* Unlike waxing, you're only using thread so it's a harmless procedure and even those with the most sensitive of skin can thread their eyebrows.

I've been threading my eyebrows for years but after moving away for uni, and not finding a decent place that knows how to thread in my area I unfortunately had to resort to tweezing them, which I'm not very good at and basically massacred my poor eyebrows!

I've been growing out my eyebrows for the past few weeks (ew, that sounds so gross!) and they're pretty much a mess and today I did eyebrow threading at the salon.

Here are the before and after pictures.

I can't believe I actually posted a picture of my eyebrows in such a horrific state on the internet, but all in the name of beauty research ey! As you can see there's a major difference.

So if you have messy eyebrows and want a successful shape, or if you need them tidied up, eyebrow threading is the way to go.. Trust me!

Meet the new love of my life : Louis Vuitton Melrose

As previously mentioned in this blog, I'm a big time hand bag addict too!

So as an early birthday gift, my ever so lovely aunt got me the Louis Vuitton 'Melrose' bag, in a black cherry-ish color.

It is so beautiful and I'm so in love with it, it's not even funny. It's such an elegant and chic bag and the perfect color for the AW/10 (and forever <3)!

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in red (856) : Review

I lurrrvee me some red lips! So when I saw this Dior lip gloss, I had to have it!

I'm a 'red lips' kind of girl and I find this perfect for during the day as I find red lipstick a bit unpractical and 'out there' for my day-to-day uni student life.

Pros:
* It's a gorgeous shade of red and shimmers and glitters, which might not be to everyones taste but I always love a bit of sparkle!

* It goes on smoothly and isn't very sticky and keeps my lips moisturized.

* My lips looks so luscious and plump! Maybe that's because of the "flash-plumping, "spotlight shine" effect"?

* It lasted me about an hour, an hour and a half before I had to reapply which is quite good in my books.

Cons:
* It's a bit pricey.

* If you want to compare this to Lancôme Juicy Tubes, this Dior lip gloss is quite disappointing in regards to taste and smell. I could lick my lips all day whilst wearing Juicy Tubes just because they taste so good. I have just tasted my Dior Ultra Gloss (yes, I'm being serious) and taste wise I'd give it an F. BUT the only reason I didn't get a Juicy Tube is because they didn't have the shade I was looking for. I was on the search for a red lip gloss with that oomph affect and Juicy Tubes didn't have the right shade I was looking for.

Overall review? I like this lip gloss, mainly because of the fabulous shade I got in it. So if you're looking for a red lip gloss in an ah-may-zin shade of red, with quite good durability, and don't mind the fact that it's tasteless, Dior Ultra Gloss in 856 is the way to go.. Trust me!

p.s. I'd like to apologize about the quality of the picture, I'm on holiday right now and left the wire for my camera back home so I've unfortunately had to resort to using my beloved blackberry! When I'm back home (tomorrow!) I shall be posting all my own pics, in perrrrfect quality.

Maybelline Hello Kitty Volume Express Cat Eyes: Cutest mascara I've ever seen!

I don't care how old I am (21, in case anyone out there was wondering?), I'm still a Hello Kitty fan. I mean who could possibly not smile at the sight of that cute little kitty, bows and all!

I wouldn't even care if the mascara wasn't that great, the packaging practically sells itself! Unfortunately it has only been released in Japan so far, which pretty much SUCKS! Ahem, ahem, cough, cough, does anyone in Japan want to FedEx me one, anyone?

Oh well!

Dermalogica Skin Refining Masque : Review

I got this face masque about a week ago and so far I've used it two times and.. I love!
Honestly my face somehow looks clearer and more.. refined?

Here's a quick brief on what this products about:

* 'A skin-clarifying masque with oil-absorbing Kaolin and Bentonite clays plus Zinc Oxide to remove impurities and refine the skin's surface, helping to reduce oily-skin breakouts. Soothing botanical extracts of Mallow, Arnica and Cucumber help soothe the skin while purifying Watercress, Lemon and Ivy revives dull skin.'

* Doesn't dry out your skin despite absorbing excess oil.

* Helps to remove facial impurities and removes dead skin cells.

* Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

My experience with my new favorite face masque:

After applying this white clay masque which has a thin consistency, I could feel my skin tighten up slightly and tingle (in a good way, if that makes sense). The box says you're suppose to leave it on for about 10 minutes but I left it on for about 25 minutes (tut tut, naughty me, but in my defense I was watching the new episode of ANTM and couldn't bear to tear my self away from it!) and after washing my face I could seriously see the results straight away, no joke!

My pores looked tighter, my skin look clearer, fresh, bright, smoother and healthier. I'm a total convert now. I was using the Proactiv Refining Mask prior to this masque and I'm much more satisfied with this product.. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I was actually surprised with the results after looking at my self in the mirror after removing the masque!

So if anyone out there with oily skin is looking for a new, fab face masque with guarantee-able results this is the way to go.. Trust me!
